Piazza Navona Magic is a luxurious apartment located within the church of Sant’Agnese in Agone on Piazza Navona in the centre of Rome.
The views are stunning, overlooking the Fountain of the Four Rivers, one of the most famous landmarks of the Eternal City and the location is fantastic. As you step outside you’re in the very heart of Rome’s most famous streets.
The impressive façade of Piazza Navona Magic with its balcony from the Pope’s room overlooking Piazza Navona is Palazzo Pamphilj, built by Pope Innocent X in the seventeenth century as a symbol of his family’s power.
The apartment is accessed via an ornate spiral staircase and the moment guests enter they will be transported to another time. The 17th Century classic Baroque style is seamlessly blended with 21st Century modernism and the effortless sense of space and grandeur is highlighted using flowing motion throughout the rooms, specific lighting to create a dreamlike aesthetic and intricate ceiling frescoes depicting bible stories and tales of the saints adorning virtually every ceiling.
Luxury emanates from each room with sumptuous soft furnishings and neutral colour palettes. Swathes of light flood through the open-plan design, highlighting the stunning marble-framed passageways and each room features individual colour accents that complement the muted blue-grey tones throughout the apartment.
There is a lounge and bar and two opulent bedrooms. There is also a library, study and music room with a beautiful grand piano for guests to enjoy. There is an elegant dining area with stunning chandeliers for guests that wish to host a lavish event
The Pope’s Room is the master bedroom and was designed for Pope Innocent X himself. The suite features 4.5m high windows opening onto a balcony that directly overlooks Piazza Navona, an elevated deluxe bed with an elaborate headboard and 8 metre-high ceilings adorned with intricate frescoes. With its stunning en-suite bathroom leading to a luxurious hot tub, guests can relax in style in a room steeped in history.
The intimate and cosy Via Dell’Anima Room takes its name from the bustling street it overlooks. Elegant fabric wallpaper accentuates the incredible floral wall art and complements the ceiling fresco overhead. An antique marble fireplace adds further warmth and style to the room.
A large adjoined dressing room offers a space for guests to get ready in style and a hidden door cleverly disguises the entrance to the ornate en-suite bathroom, maintaining the symmetry of the room.
Piazza Navona Magic was the 2019 winner of best Guest Room/Suite in the Elle Decor Travel A-List 2019.
